It’s high time we declared we kno our rights and differences between privilege and responsibility,
Its not a privilege if we are given all that is needed to succeed, our altruistic welfares is their responsibility.

The drastic decision by the management of UNILAG to eject students from their hostels, without an iota of consultation; prior notice or information of any kind, is totally undemocratic and a departure from all norms of progress and societal tranquillity. The students are relevant stakeholders in the school community and to be carried along in the affairs of the school is very imperative.
It is even more appalling that the V.C did not deem it fit to address the complains of the student before the protest escalated to an unwarranted ejection. We begin to wonder if this is a democracy. We wish to declare that this singular undemocratic decision is capable of sabotaging the peace of the state if not properly managed.
The timing of how long students are going to remain at home should further be considered by the government because exam is fast approaching. In a time when the University of First Choice and Nation's pride is grappling with multifaceted problems without any clear cut way out, do the people of Lagos and beyond expect us to fold our hands and keep mute? That's for those questioning our unquestionable rage. Won’t it be better we voice out and deal with it once and for all to safeguard the future of the prospective student yearning and longing to be in the 'University of Last Choice, Nation's Shame'.
Our Demands:
1. We totally reject the inconsiderate attitude of the management by forcefully ejecting us out without prior notice, we demand an apology.
2. We call on the state house of assembly to rise up in defence by rejecting and proffering last- longing panacea to this abnormality.
3. We demand that the management of the school pull of their inhumane garment and be cloth with garment of sympathy towards us to deal with his issue.

But amidst all this fugacious razzmatazz, let us grab the bull by the horn and beckon on the pages of our books to read while at home.
Let's grab the opportunity in this current disposition and not neglect the bottomline reason for this, we claim we can't read because there is no light and water, you are home for a short while now, eat as you like to gather enough strength and read like no man's business.

The above write-up was sent to GMII by a UNILAG student in defense of the students’ protest which prompted the management of the institution to lock the school gate and the students had to jump the fence like their leaders in House of Assembly did some time ago.
But tell me, whose fault is it?
Why won’t they be mistreated when education has become a conspiracy and what the student gets is indoctrination?
There is obviously hoarding in the university already and the management have no choice than to treat the student like they have no choice.
Do they really have choice?
These guys have succeeded in making them believe university, especially the respected ones like UNILAG is the only way they can become successful in life.
Is this true? NO!
University education is just one of the many institutions of learning through which one can acquire his/her desired education and become relevant in the society, but here, we recognize only university and with it, situations like this wont seize to repeat itself.
Education here has become a conspiracy and the students only get wrong indoctrinations, not education. If you think I am lying, then find out more here:http://greatmindsinitiativesinternational.blogspot.com/2016/03/when-education-becomes-indoctrination.html?m=1
This reality lives with us; let us fight the good fight of balancing educational system for the benefit of everyone.
Let's stop this conspiracy, let's male the lives of our youths be fruitful, this is what TEC (True Education Campaign) is all about.
