TRUE EDUCATION CAMPAIGN (PROMOTION)

In “When Education becomes Indoctrination”, an essay published by The Guardian Newspaper in year 2015, and also published on several online platforms across the world, it was stated by the writer that “When education becomes indoctrination, only the truly educated ones become successful.”

It seems it is playing out here.

It is obvious; education in this part of the world has become indoctrination.
It seems we are satisfied with the bragging rights: certificates and fluency in the use of English Language.
It hasn’t occurred to us that these aren’t what it means to be educated and that is why we are so backward.

Our children are sent to schools, they study any available course just to be in school and graduate unbaked and virtually useless to themselves and the society.
That is what education that neglects talents and passions has to offer.

According to Soul’e Rhymez in one of his essays on education, the best form of education, which he termed “True Education”, is to be taught the rudiments and the right use of your talents in relation to your passion to make you relevant to yourself and the society.

With that definition of education, we will have a stable and empowered society, but is that what we have now?
Don’t you think our educational system is just a brainwash?
Don’t be surprised at the hardship we experience now, that’s the price we pay for wrong definition and propagation of education.
We produce virtually nothing, even the little we produce is not valued and we are not trained to produce.
We are trained to import from abroad and when exchange rate goes high, inflation sets in as we have it now.

Where are the educated folks?
What solution do they have to this? Probably none, but empty eloquence.
This is not about fluency in English Language and certification alone, it is about productivity and they are probably not trained to do the later.

Have you noticed that our educational system seems to have been designed to produce only employees?
Why do you think we have so many unemployed graduates?
It is simple; they are trained to work for people, not to be employers of labour.
They were not trained to use their talent in relation to their passions; they are trained to speak good English and boast of certificates.

We have a lot of schooled folks that have no idea what education is and this is why we are suffering.
Education is not limited to the walls of any school, but it is worse here as university is the ultimate when it comes to education.
Whereas, it is just one institution of learning out of thousands of institutions of learning through which we can be educated and be relevant to ourselves and our society.

Until we seek “True Education”, we will always be behind.

EVER DYNAMIC; EVER SURE - Child Hero Empowerment Monthly Workshop 3.0

Chinonoye, motivating as Soul'e Rhymez (in white) and other fuests watches...

The sun still slumbered and the charade of illumination seemed all engulfed in a long experienced eclipse. The earth is seen wary, yet bent clambered in soliloquy of a new day, as it seemed the terrestrial elements were not ready for the instance.

a cross section of the invited guests
Yet, honking and gridlock on bridges and pathways all assumed the ever call of diligence and vehemence. Another date was marked, in diaries of the steadfast irrespective of the sullen clime.

Amid these risers are the contingents posed towards humanity, armed with the arsenal of Joy, selflessness and quiver full for posterity.
The Child Hero Empowerment Campaign (CHEC)'s train in spite of valley-low and Hill-up interspersing the Bariga's turf- swinging hither-thither, unsteadied by unkempt roads and potholes wider than a party's cauldron finally berths at the regal home of ALL FOOTPRINTS OF DAVID ART ACADEMY, well known for breeding personage of exploits.
Pleasantries are immediately established, chitchat by some and meditation by others.

It was the 20th of July, 2016 and the CHEC Team seized the opportunity to educate and entertain the children on living a skillful and successful life, by building their talent at the foundation level and also taking advantage of their educational opportunities to groom themselves into skillful and resourceful individuals. This marked the 3rd edition of CHECs monthly Child Development Workshop.

Amobi, discussing with Paul, a reporter from THE NATION Newspaper

CHEC, known for her monthly humanitarian activity chose: Education and Talent: Gateway to a Future as the theme for their June workshop. Talent it truly was, for a collectible of dancers, drummers, acrobats, Singers, Orators, poet, Writers and Dramatist who filled the room, welcoming us with serenading folk-songs and their improvised National Anthem (Footprint of David Art academy version) at about few minutes past ten.

After the well composed tunes with appealing harmony followed by a round of applause, Mr Uche Uwadinachi as usual showcase of spontaneity and proficiency formally announces the purpose of the gathering.
His moni moni song was both appealing and educating as the pupilage of the Academy learnt unforgettable morals thereof.

The sagacious poet, Prestige enthralls all with his piece titled-LOVE, woven with puns and rhymes. He says, Truth without Love is Brutality".

Ifeanyi Bernard, a poet, with Bassey Okon

The next speaker was Amobi Q-sac Okeke in an unassuming entrance gave out a test on Tongue twisting with a price tag without an apt respondent.  His lecture hinged on fundamentals of Education as a catalyst for grooming inherent abilities.
He however stated that it must be well nurtured. Before bowing out, he requested that the attentive children select each letter from the word EDUCATION, which he gave a definition to in his own words. He brilliantly answered to the amazement of all.
Amobi, the Public Speaker about to do what he does best.

SunSamPaul Egwu (Sunday Paul Egwu) with his unmatched panache of will and meticulous steps, up the game by giving out his new book titled: IKENNA AND THE ZEBRA to randomly selected ones.
Thence, his two poems, Full of Hope and Save the Slum, were doled on a platter of passion and tenacity.
SunSamPaul, entertaining the kids
Poet, event planner and motivational speaker and member of the CHEC team; Babatunde Odubanwo, wielded his session by tutoring the children on the benefits of education and living a life of focus and diligence, whilst taking them on a journey of imitable historical icons.
Babatunde Ogunbanwo, Motivating the kids

Spoken word Artiste and Speaker Fr33zinPaul rendered a short but inspiring address to the children, using the Acronym PISS to motivate them. He gave the children a new understanding of the word PISS which for him means Patience, Income, Savings and Service, four of which upholds the age long philosophy of starting small and earning greatly.

As the workshop rolled to its end, CHECs initiator & founder, Chinonye J. Chidolue, seized the moment to appreciate the children for their spontaneity, zeal and creativity irrespective of their relegating environs. She applauded them for how far theyve come and encouraged them to discover their true passion and never depart from it.

The progenitor of the Footprint of David art academy, Seun Awobajo thanked members of the CHEC team and speakers alike for this wonderful arm of love extended to the children, insisting that the group is open to more.
A grand performance by the academy followed as the workshop slowly sifted to an end.
Chidinma, a Guest, seized the opportunity to also motivate the kids

GENDER EQUALITY; A NEEDLESS AGITATION

When a topic such as gender equality is raised, the question a lot of people ask is, can women be equal to men?
There have been several tussles as regard passing the bill into law in Nigeria, the most populated black nation. However, a lot of folks do not understand what Gender Equality entails.

What is Gender Equality?
Gender is the classification of sexes, while equality means being equal, in a nutshell; it means equal rights for the sexes.
The Feminists argues it is equity and that takes us to the meaning of equity, which according to Oxford Dictionary is:
1. Fairness.
2. Principles of justice used to correct or supplement the law.
3. A value of the shares issued by a company. b (in pl.) stocks and shares not bearing fixed interest. [Latin aequitas: related to *equal].

In all of the above definitions of equity, we can only pick the first two, which is fairness and principle of justice used to correct or supplement law.
It will therefore mean that the feminists are seeing some unfair treatments of the female gender under the law and want it corrected. If this is true, then what are these unfair treatments?
Anybody that agitates for Gender Equality should therefore be able to point out unfair treatments they want to be corrected.

RE-INVENTING YOUR EDUCATION --Part 3

11. Concerning your future, one of the operations of life that I have come to realize is that, 'You see the future clearly in your heart[mind] after taking ownership of your life before you can successfully enter into it and the images of that future you have seen is the 'legal document' of your ownership to that future. The problem actually is that majority of youths are despising the true images of their futures as seen by them in their privacy. The images you see about your future are the 'lights' necessary to enter into them. Those images are more powerful than the limitation of formal education.
.
12a. The truth is that, the school system is a CONSPIRACY. Conspiracy is basically a system of falsehood encoded in truths. Deep right? That is why it is called a CONSPIRACY. How do I mean? It simply means that education is very good but within its practices are ideologies and policies encoded to trap the progress of individuals within its system. So, until youths come to a place of personal decision to free themselves from those webs, they remain caged. Many pursue schooling without the consciousness of education. The mix of schooling and education is a REVOLUTION. Pursue the two with deep intents.
.
12b. Freedom is of the mind while deliverance is of 'chains'. Schooling is deliverance while education is freedom. You can be delivered but not free. But you can't be FREE and not be delivered! Freedom is a 'light' birthed by truths.
.
13. I want to ask you a question but answer it to yourself privately.
.
14. What you are presently doing as a student or graduate, is there any form of 'legal document' you have concerning it. Meaning, in that course of your study or career, have you seen your future in it? If not, then the conspiracies of education have worked its ways into your life and if paradigm shift[s] isn't taken then you have no future. That is really where the complexities of life starts from for a youth because no clarity of purpose has been birthed within their hearts before they started the journey of schooling.
.
15. I have seen the future of education and how it can revolutionize every aspect of one's life in practical terms even without going through the school system or without an obsessive desire for certificates. I have developed a program for anyone that is not interested in going to our contemporary school system yet want to make it in life but that actually requires private consulting with me.
