WHAT ABOUT THE HOMOSEXUALS?

On the 26th of June 2015, USA legalized gay marriage and religion bigots raised eyebrows, they consider it eyesore and the greatest sin against God.

In Nigeria, a lot of people feel once these happen; God would destroy such nation like he did to Sodom and Gomorrah. I wonder how and where they got their facts from but regardless of where they got their facts, it is a testimony that they do not truly recognize the God they seem to be defending. Why would God destroy a nation for a sin that isn't his most hated when they commit his most hated one and he overlook? All these indoctrinations are because people, especially the Christians are made to believe that it was simply because of homosexuality that God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.

Can someone show me where this is recorded in the whole Bible?

Not that I'm writing in support or against homosexuality or the legalization of their marriage, No! What I'm against is our hypocrisy in the name of religion. We quote scriptures that we don't understand and most times we think we can defend God when we don't make attempt to even know him; what he want and what he doesn't.

Prior to this, Japan and other European countries of the world have legalized Adultery and the religious people made not so much noise about it as they do now, probably because they consider it natural or a part of culture.

Nigerians in particular would not have gone against legalizing such since it align with their culture and justifies their ways of life but the same sets of people who are guilty of adultery condemns homosexuality and think they are holy to God while the homosexuals are the sinners. Hypocrites!

It should be noted that contrary to people believe that homosexuality is God's most hated sin and that it was the reason why he destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. It is not true and not biblical. God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because they are exceedingly sinful:

"But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly." (Genesis 13:13 KJV)

Homosexuality is just one of their various sins. God needed righteous people but couldn't find except Abraham's family thus they were destroyed. No portion of the bible said Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed only because of homosexuality:

"Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire." (Jude 1:7 KJV)

Thus homosexuality is not Sodomy as it was nicknamed, it has been in practice before the time of Sodom and Gomorrah.

I am not homosexuality but why are people so concerned about the law being passed if it doesn't affect them? How does someone's sexual orientation affect me when I'm not forced to do the same or raped by them?

The law does not permit them to force their acts with people who do not believe in those things so why are we making noise everywhere?  We should understand that the constitutions of these countries were not written according to the Bible or Quran so why do we think they are wrong for them to protect people who are prejudiced against? Why should we be angry that their governments decided to protect the oppressed the best way they can since people make them feel less human when we should show them love.

The government as a secular institution has done nothing wrong to give its citizens right to make their choices since it hurts no other person. The government has just decided to respect their freewill, a thing God himself would have done.

Ask yourself, what has a man's choice of being gay or a lady's choice of being lesbian got to do with you?

Does it make God not answer your prayer or would God punish you for their sins or you are just trying to defend a God you do not know?

Let's be realistic, people like you forced the USA government to pass the law. It is the duty of any country to protect her citizen and since homosexuals are one of these citizens they have to be protected.

While it is wrong for US government to want to arrest any pastor who refuses to join homosexual couples, the blames goes to you who should have shown them love and help them to get over their mental disorder and evil possession but instead you hate them; treat them with disdain, tell them to rot in hell and now the government is performing her duty and you get too religious about it, you hypocrites.

Let us face the truth and stop being bigotry. Many are only rejecting legalizing of homosexuality because it is not their culture. What happens to sins such as adultery, fornication, pornography and prostitution that has now become a legal business among young folks who now consider it "hustling" does God love those ones?

Where are you when prostitution was legalized in those countries?

Does your religion not go against them too? Or does God patronize prostitutes?

Let us be reasonable in our judgments. The best way to stop the law from been passed is to love every man, including homosexuals the best way we can. John wrote:

"Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him." (1 John 3:15 KJV)

So if you think you are doing the right thing to hate homosexuals then you are deceiving yourself and God is not mocked. Are they not one of the people considered to be your brothers (fellow humans)?

If your brother or sister is homosexual, would you want them to be killed because they make their sovereign choices?

You can hate homosexuality but not homosexuals and always try to show them love before your Government does it for you as it was done in the USA.

If you hate them because they are homosexuals and you think their choice of being gays will take them to hell, I’m sorry to disappoint you, you are wrong. You would have been saved and not go to hell yourself provided you accepted Jesus Christ into your life by believing he is the son of God who died for your sins but if not, it will surprise you that you will end up in hell with all your religious activities and those gays you think will rot in hell will be with God in heaven.

This does not mean being gay is what take people to heaven, it simply means regardless of your religious activities and their own choices of being gays, the only prerequisite for making heaven is  to believe in Jesus Christ as one’s lord and savior.

So if you don’t believe in Christ and you condemn gays, be sure that even if they are going to hell for their choices, you will lead them there.

Do you want to accept the word (Jesus Christ) into your life?

Say this out to yourself and mean it:

“OH LORD JESUS, I ACCEPT YOU AS THE SON OF GOD AND AS MY SAVIOR WHO DIED FOR MY SINS”.

You can take his yoke by telling people about him, mind you, don’t force people, it is ungodly to do so.
